NORTH DAKOTA OIL FIELD!!!

Monday, March 12, 2012

So we have been wanting to show ya'll what things look like up here. Kyle runs a transportation operation called Catch 22 Hotshot. How it works is a company associated with the oil field will need something delivered faster than is actually possible. They want it now, so they hire Catch 22 to deliver these "tools" to different oil drilling rigs as fast as they possibly can. It's a very specialized field and some days an overwhelming one!  We have seen a lot of interesting things, but the coolest thing is seeing how the Lord is always working. The oil field in general is, well lets just say it definitely isn't the Bible Belt. HA! But when Kyle decided this was where the Lord was calling him , and ultimately us as a married couple, we knew we had to be completely open to whatever the Lord had in store for us. The oil fields of North Dakota have become our mission field. We know without a shadow of a doubt this is where the Lord wants us, and that is a great place to be. A Pastor we know once said, "Being in the hand of God is the best place to be, it's also the scariest." SO TRUE.

This is an oil drilling rig

They all have these flair stacks that are burning off natural gas

First post of the new year! Has it been that long?

WOW! Cannot believe it has been so long since our last post. Our apologies! We have had so much going on. Time to fill ya'll in....

We went to Nebraska to visit Kyle's family for Christmas. It was so exciting since we didn't think we would get to do anything, and would be stuck alone in North Dakota. It was short but oh so sweet! Here are a few pictures just to show how wonderful it was! ...

Then we went to Kentucky to spend time with Marquette's family. It was so great! Marquette went down a week early to get in some extra time, and Kyle came the following weekend. We went to eat at Shogun the Japanese hibachi restaurant, lots of shopping, and even more laughing. Just to show some of the fun here are a few pictures....

So many special times. We are so blessed with amazing families! I mean common look at them, THEY ARE AWESOME!!! :) There are always lots of tears when we say goodbye. We cling to our family times and long for the day when we will be a little closer and get to have more time with them.
